MofuChip is our new card game debuting at Game Market Spring 2026. The rulebook is fully manga-style and available in four languages: Japanese, English, Korean, and French. Easy to learn and easy to enjoy with anyone — perfect for travel. Players: 3–5 Play time: 15 minutes Age: 8+ Languages: Japanese / English / Korean / French Players take turns playing one card at a time, competing over 10 rounds to earn the most points. The first card played sets the "lead color." Each player follows with one card. The highest number in the lead color wins the round and scores a point. Simple enough — until the chips get involved. Chips are the heart of this game. Each chip is double-sided, and the effect depends on which face you play. +2 side: Add 2 to your card's number. Play two chips and that's +4. Color Change side: Play a card of a different color as if it were the lead color. With numbers ranging only from 1 to 7, chips matter all the time. Say a 7 is already on the table — play your 6 with a +2 chip and you hit 8 to take the win. Or lead with a 5 and a +2 chip, and even a later 7 can't beat you — ties go to the first card played. Where do you earn chips, where do you save them, and when do you strike? That's the real game. All cards are dealt out at the start, so your whole hand is visible from the beginning. And here's the key: you don't need to sweep all 10 rounds. With 3 players, 4 wins can take first place. With 4 players, just 3. When do you play your strong cards? When do you hold back — or even lose on purpose to grab a chip? Your options are clear, yet one move from an opponent can throw everything off. All of that tension fits into 15 minutes. The illustrations by hoppe — girls and animals, endlessly charming — speak for themselves. We removed the white card borders so the art fills every corner of each card. But make no mistake: the gameplay bites back. Cute on the outside, genuinely competitive within. That's MofuChip. No walls of text. MofuChip's rulebook is manga from cover to cover — just look at the pictures and you'll get it. The word "trick-taking" doesn't appear anywhere. Available in four languages, so it's just as easy to play with international friends. Shuffle the cards in the colors used for your player count, then deal 10 cards to each player. The player who has owned a pet the longest goes first — or decide with rock-paper-scissors. After 10 rounds, the player with the most points wins. Ties are broken by chip count.
